SWADESHABHIMANI RAMAKRISHNA PILLAI (1878-1916)

• He was born at Neyyattinkkara in Thriruvananthapuram.
• He was the editor of ‘Malayali’ published from Kollam.
• In 1906 he became the editor of Swadeshabhimani.
• He was deported from Kerala for criticising the government in 1910.
• ‘Karl Marx’, ‘‘Kerala Bhasholpalhy’ ‘‘Benjamin Franklin’’ Mohandas Gandhi, ‘‘Socrates’, ‘‘Dharmaraja Nirupanam’ are his famous works.
• ‘‘Ente Nadukadathal’’ is his autobiography
• He died on 28 March 1916 at Kannur.
• His memorial is situated at Payyampalam in Kannur.
